The Ukrainian Media Fund (UMF) is donating an additional 20,000 euros to Ukrainian media for the purchase of power equipment. The funds will be distributed to the media outlets through the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), as well as the Association of Independent Regional Publishers of Ukraine (AIRPPU).
The Ukrainian Media Fund is now in its fourth year of operation, and will also deliver three regular funding rounds to independent Ukrainian media in 2026. This will help the media outlets continue to produce quality journalism, report on the war, and protect freedom of expression.
“The situation in Ukraine remains critical, and it is more important than ever to support a free press to ensure access to reliable information and uphold democratic values,” says Randi S. Øgrey, chair of the board of the Association Ukrainian Media Fund Nordic.
